Open Competition for Non-commercial Epidemiological Research

On May 16, 2023, the Medical Research Agency (ABM) published the Regulations for the “Open Competition for Non-commercial Epidemiological Research on Multimorbidity”.

The main objective of the competition is to study the frequency of multimorbidity, assess its impact on the health status of the Polish population, evaluate existing risk factors, utilize tools for trend modeling, and apply the knowledge gained to improve preventive and diagnostic-therapeutic measures. This objective will be achieved through the development of qualitative epidemiological research.

Projects submitted within the competition must have the following status:

Non-commercial epidemiological research focusing on conducting observation/analysis/preventive intervention among individuals exposed to specific factors, with the aim of assessing causal relationships in the occurrence or development of multimorbidity, or evaluating preventive actions aimed at reducing the risk of multimorbidity in the Polish population.

and/or

Non-commercial epidemiological research utilizing tools/applications for in-depth data analysis regarding the health status of a specific population.
